When you're just starting out, it can feel overwhelming to know what to focus on. That’s why I created a pathway specifically for beginner guitar players or those who’ve learned a few chords but need some extra direction. I offer a series of online guitar courses, available only to my students through the Soundslice platform. These courses are designed to help you get hands-on with the essentials, like strumming, fingerstyle, rock guitar, and blues guitar, all while learning songs you know and love, like Wonderful Tonight and Three Little Birds.
For intermediate players eager to dive deeper, this pathway uses jazz and blues as gateways to understanding any music you love—be it funk, African, bossa nova, gypsy jazz, pop, or even lo-fi. As one of my teachers said, “Jazz is the way to learn music,” and I couldn't agree more. By exploring these styles, you'll enhance your improvisation, technique, and grasp of how music works.
We'll work on applying these concepts in real-world playing situations, so you can become more confident and creative, no matter which genre inspires you.
In my group lessons, there are two paths to boost your guitar skills.
Up Your Guitar Game focuses on music theory and understanding the "why" behind the music. We'll delve into scales, chords, and improvisation, equipping you to confidently play any genre. If you're eager to deepen your musical knowledge and get creative, this is for you.
Play & Jam is all about enjoying music together. Perfect for beginners and advanced players alike, we'll play a variety of songs across genres in a fun, relaxed setting. It's a great way to improve your rhythm and musicality while simply enjoying the act of playing.
